Children's MINISTRY
Developing a Relationship with Jesus
The goal of our Children's Ministry is to bring our youngest members from the community into a relationship with Jesus. We believe children have the capacity to walk intimately with God and we help guide them through practical skills learning, Bible stories, songs and crafts.

Kids Cooking Classes (Boys & Girls Ages 8-13+)
Kids are invited to a series of free cooking classes at Cephas Church. Each week they learn to prepare a healthy meal and enjoy eating supper together. Additionally, they play games, have a Bible lesson and do crafts. These Friday afternoon classes run from 3:30 - 6:00 pm, and are overseen jointly with Youth Unlimited.
Our winter and spring cooking class sessions have concluded. The next session of classes will begin in October 2024. Check back to this page in September 2024 for more information and details for registering your child.
After School Program at "The Hub" (Ages 8-13)
Our neighbours next door at The Hub are again hosting a free after-school program (September to June) for area youth. This program is overseen by Youth Unlimited with support from Cephas Church.

Summer Gardening and BBQs at "The Hub" (Ages 8-13)
Cephas Church and The Hub hosted a free Summer Gardening program (and several BBQs!), for neighbourhood and community children during July and August. This program is overseen by Youth Unlimited with support from Cephas Church, and will be offered again in the summer of 2024.

Boys Club (Ages 7-13)
Our boys club, known as Cadets, is a ministry that shares Christ's love with boys. Speakers, Bible study, badge-work, hands-on projects and outdoor adventure, encourage boys to grow socially, mentally, physically and spiritually. Visit the Cadets' website for more information. This is a joint program with Living Hope Church.

Our Volunteers
Our volunteers acknowledge that children are a gift from God (Psalm 137:3). They are committed to making the ministry a safe, Biblically relevant and fun environment for your kids.
All volunteers understand our children's ministry guidelines, agree with the vision and mission of Cephas Church, and have a current background check.
